1. How long have you been working here and a bit about the shop?
I’ve been running the shop since August 2010, so it’s been 14 years now. I took over the shop from a friend, and honestly, I’ve never looked back. Over the years, I’ve built a loyal client base, especially with the locals. They know me, they trust my products, and we’ve managed to maintain a great reputation. My staff are well-trained, and we’re always focused on providing excellent service, with very few complaints. It’s all about fresh, quality products, and we make sure everything is sold the day after it arrives to maintain that standard.
2. What products or services do you offer, and what makes them unique?
We specialise in all things chicken! Fresh chicken, comes in daily, and we sell it the next day to keep everything as fresh as possible. We also try to be innovative with our menu—like offering flat Portuguese chicken and grilled/crumbed fish.
3. What’s in season or really popular right now with shoppers?
Our finger foods are always a hit, especially our chicken chippies and chips. The grilled burgers are made fresh, and our salads are also really popular. People are always looking for quick, fresh options, and that’s what we try to provide.
4. What’s your favourite thing in-store at the moment?
My favourite thing at the moment would have to be the new range of fresh salads and our catering options. It’s always exciting to offer something new and see how well the customers respond to it.
5. Outside of work, what are your hobbies or interests?
Outside of work, I’m very family-oriented. I love spending time with my kids—taking them to the beach or playing soccer and tennis. I’m also very sporty, so I try to make time for those activities. I enjoy going out for dinner when I get the chance, but being with family is my number one priority.
